Miki received formal training with Todo Masako Ballet Academy in Hiroshima,
Later she moved to Belgium to further her professional training at Hoger
Instituut Voor Dans (now Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen).
Her performing career began with The Tokyo Ballet Company.
In addition to classical ballets including “Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker”,
“Sleeping Beauty”, “Giselle” and “Don Quijote”, her repertoire contains
neoclassical works such as “The Kabuki” and “M” choreographed by Maurice
She has also performed in the World Ballet Festival in Tokyo.
After leaving The Tokyo Ballet, Miki launched into her teaching career, and
began teaching young international dancers. Highly active in her
contributions to young dancers in the art of dance, she received the Best
Teacher Award in 2018.
Miki now has her own ballet school in Japan, Miki Ballet Academy, which has
been selected by the city of Tokyo to perform in a cultural event in 2020
called “Welcome to Fairy World”.
I want to teach little ballet dancers to use their emotions to perform on stage and to become a better ballet dancer. Also to be careful with your body. Ballet is a very intense sport and a dancer should work with precision and full attention to their own body.
