Yevgeniy Kolesnyk

Yevgeniy Kolesnyk is a former Principal dancer with Opera Ballet Flanders. From 2000-2016, he performed various leading roles in their classical productions and works by renowned choreographers, such as:
William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Marcia Haydee, Christian Spuck, David Dawson, Jorma Elo, Jacopo Godani and many others.
Yevgeniy received Vaganova method training at the Kiev National Ballet School. After graduating with honours, in 1997 he joined the Kiev National Opera House and was promoted to soloist the following season performing featured roles in classical repertoire.

Yevgeniy was awarded the gold medal at the International Ballet Competition “Serge Lifar de la Dans”, First prize at the International Ballet Competition “Arabesk” in Perm, Russia, and gold medal and title ‘Best Dancer’ at International Dance Competition in Brazil.
He has been invited as a guest teacher internationally with companies and various performing arts institutions.

And I know the pressure you will face, performing in front of the judges and the big audiences when you join a competition.
My goal as a teacher, is to help you to guide you to this process, and make you feel confident and joyful when performing.
